What is the name of your state? OK

Went to court 3 times regarding temp orders in the divorce. It took the judge 3 weeks to decide (he said 7 days grr) ANYWAYS, just got the word that my petition for temp alimony has been denied!

This is after 15 yrs of marriage, he makes 55k-82k (depends on work lined up) and I havent worked in 7 yrs.

He is currently in the marital home. He is abusive (i have a PO) and has a better attorney than me, obviously.

At this point, I get the 35k debt. And yes, I am looking for a job, hard to find one when you have to work around a child's preschool. I cannot work nights nor weekends. Lucky if I can make 7$ an hr.

Here is my question. If the judged tossed out temp alimony saying the ex doesnt have the cash to pay, what is my chance of getting any alimony at the final divorce?
I know he padded his monthly expenses and I luckily have access to the household monthly bills and bank accts to prove his pay and expenses. I guess I need to make copies of all of them and hand them to my attorney..but am I wasting my time/ink/paper doing so?

Basically I am screwed, yes? What is the name of your state?

You are not necessarily screwed....however its time for you to seriously do your homework to prove the true financial situation, and to make sure that you at least get your fair share of the marital assets. You may also need a different attorney.

Thanks LDiJ, I guess I need to be more assertive in all this.

I have copies of how much the utility bills have dropped from a 3 person household to a 1 person.
I am also amazed that the judge allowed the ex's excuses of needing $600 per month to feed himself (going out to eat) and another $350 a month for tobacco:cigarettes and copenhagen chew.
I eat little and quit smoking.

Time to get my act together, and to think I was trying to be nice by leaving more than 80% of the household items behind (i took the cheap silverware too, and left the good set) gave him my Rottie pup, AND gave him the newer, good computer and took the old 7 yr old one.

Stupid, stupid me.
