the question applies to missouri law:

situation: a spouse is requred to pay alimony and the divorce decree states it is modifable.

spouse prepares to go back to court to cease payment due to the fact that the former spouse has not gained employment since the divorce 7+ years ago following a 22 year marriage (she filed); and is capable of gaining employment (holds a current license with the state as a hairdresser).

the adult children of the marriage are all prepared to attest to the fact that the mother regularly smokes marijuana and has done so in their presence and that of their friends.

is there any precendent case that states alimony when used to support an illegal activity is cause for termination of the payment?
