I'm in California. My husband's ex signed away her alimony, since she and her boyfriend bought a brand new home together. My husband's son moved in with us a month later, which means she was losing 2 sources of income, 1 cs and ss. Daughter still lives with her, but will be graduating this year. She found a couple of clerical errors on the stip, nothing on the body of the stip, but in the caption. Now she is taking husband back to court to get her alimony back. This has been dragging on for almost a year. Since she is living with her boyfriend as husband and wife, and bought a home more expensive than she and my husband could've ever afforded, and we couldn't afford it either, what are the chances the judge will over turn alimony stip? They were married for 11 1/2 yrs. and he started paying her from the day of separation, along with all debts incurred by both, and a couple of her debts. He also gave her plenty of money for cs before the actual divorce. In alimony, he paid for 59% of the length of marriage.
