I separated in 9/93. Divorced 6/97. I was married in 1971. There are no children involved. I have paid $4000/ month since 9/93. She is a RN and Realator but claims she can't work. How long can this go on? I am a physician in the state of Illinois. I work 15 hour days in 3 jobs. I'm losing my desire to keep working. When does it stop?

I strongly suggest (though I am not a lawyer), you obtain some very good legal advice. It sounds like your really being taken to the cleaners. I'm paying my X $750 a month for 5 years, even though she has several college degrees, she now has some job making only about $20K. Maybe a vocational expert to examine your X's abilities is the way to go. Good luck.
