I have been married only two years. I have a mental illness that prohibits me to work. I get $1000.00 ssi per month and give $600.00 to my husband for mortgage payment on a house we bought two years ago.
My husband has had a $15,000. increase in pay since we have been married. Everything in the house to make a home I have paid for with my own money. My husband is neglecting me and is in a very volatile situation with his x-wife and children. I have been advised by my therapist that I might be better off to leave this situation if it does not change. Am I wrong to seek alimony for a two yr marriage.
I am not a greedy or unfair person. I would only want to do what is right. The house is in my name also.
Thanks Also, my husband knew of my illness before our marriage. And I live in the state of Florida where I know they do not give out alimony very often.
