What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? chicago, il

So Mayor Dayley has leased out our parking meters to a private company. I am looking to do an art project where I pay for the meters and then sublease them to other people for use that doesn't involve parking a car. The meters are payed but to be used in other ways....Does anybody know if I would be breaking any laws? What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

its a single day project.

Its a simple question regarding whether or not I would have a legal right to occupying a paid meter spot with something other than a car.

**A: ok, pay for the use of the stall by feeding the meter and hitch ya horse there.

I doubt it. Most traffic laws are very specific about what constitutes a vehicle and what kinds of vehicles are allowed on specific roadways. For instance many cities do not allow commercial vehicles and trucks down town, and also don't allow people to place objects in a parking spot they cleared of snow to save that spot for themselves.
