I have transcribed the content of 25 tutorial Youtube videos for personal use. I understand now that they have some value and I want to sell each transcript online. Am I infringing copyright of the original video content? What is your suggestion to proceed in my initiative in respect of the law?

Thanks a lot your your advice.

Thanks a lot your your advice.

What is the name of your state, LeoPapa, or, if not in the US, what is the name of your country?

If you did not create the YouTube videos, then transcribing the contents of the videos is an infringement on the rights of the creator(s) of the YouTube videos. The transcribed contents of the YouTube videos would be considered derivative works. Creating derivatives is one of the exclusive rights of the copyright holder.

You cannot create or market for sale any derivatives of a copyrighted work without the express permission of the copyright holder - which, in your case, would be the creator(s) of the YouTube videos.

My suggestion for you is to enjoy the transcriptions for your personal use ONLY and do not attempt to market them to others.
