Ameerican Express Credit Line Payment in Full

I have an american express line that I have defaulted on becuase I could not afford to make a payment on it.

The collection agency wants me to make a payment in full because I "was told to keep cash reserves when I signed up for this lien". Now I dont remember reading that anywhere when I sigend up for the card.

I cannot afford to pay the full payment. The agency said they will take legal action against me.

What can I do?

So you are claiming you did not know that American Express, except for their consumer line or blue card, is not a revolving account and must be paid monthly in full? I would suggest you read the agreement front to back. Then either pay the debt or wait to get sued. I have heard that AE is very aggressive when it comes to collecting on judgments.
