Amended license

Thank you for the answer to me recent question. Now here is another. Would it be possible to have my marriage certificate amended to reflect the correct date of birth, and if so, what is involved in doing so? I know in the Commonwealth of Virginia it is considered a misdemeaner to lie under oath and punishable with a $100 fine. Is it wotrth the effort to correct in South Carolina?
