What is the name of your state?N.C.
We are in a HOA that after ten years of boarding horses on 20 acres now wants to amend the restrictions. One of the restrictions states that " To be used for residential purposes"
Of the four homeowners no one complained for ten years and we were told that this was built as an equestrian community and it was ok to board horses along with our own. One homeowner sued to have the restrictions annulled and to not pay dues because two farms have small business on them. He lost. Now the HOA is trying to put restrictions on our horse business but not on the cattle and hay business. Are we grandfathered in or can they stop our business without stopping the other business?
