What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state?Hi I live in New Jersey.
My parents created a revocable living trust in 1996. It was done by a reputable estate attorney. I was present when they signed it at the lawyers office and it was properly witnessed and notarized. My father passed away in 1998. Since then my mother has made a few changes to the trust mainly involving the distribution of assets. My question is this. When my mother signed the documents they only had the raised notary seal on them with the required information from the notary,BUT there were no witnesses (I am referring to the changes that she made). Were witnesses required or is it OK the way it is. The lawyers office told me that a witness was not needed for this. Everything was done at the lawyers office and,I like to think that I was given the right advice. :) My mother is the current trustee. (she signed them in front of the notary)

Thanks, Hamop
