Hi gang....
I posted before. Brief review: my boyfriend lost custody of his children on November 30 (court order is stamped and signed by judge on this date, he is GA)....his ex moved with his children (ages 5 and 14 months) to New Jersey the next day. He was given liberal visitation, including the entire summer....
His ex is already hinting that she is not going to let them be with him for the summer.....I know the drill about contempt charges, etc., and sending the intent to exercise visitation form (we have already adopted this as a standard in dealing with visitation with his ex), and documenting EVERYTHING, but I am wondering if there is anything LEGALLY she can do that will enable her to keep the children for the summer. The court order was dated November 30 and the trial took place in Georgia, and being that she can put in for a change of jurisdiction in 6 months, can this effect the court order?
Also, can she put in a motion to change custody order and claim that the 17 month old (this is how old he will be in June) would be psychologically damaged by being away from her for the summer (this is something we believe she will do)? There is nothing to back up her claim, as even the GAL claimed that my boyfriend and his son are very bonded....
I'm just trying to anticipate everything possible from his ex, and attempting to be PROACTIVE rather than REACTIVE!
I appreciate any responses!
