What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California
My sister got hit by an uninsured driver who refused to provide her with driver's license. She called me on my way to work and I suggested to call the police. While on the freeway, I saw that she was still parked on the far left lane of the freeway with a motor police and the person that hit her. My first instinct as a brother was to stop and check up on her. While I was approaching them, the police said I wasn't needed there then told me to drive away and he then changed his mind and asked to take my registration out and stay in my car. He then gave me a ticket 22400 (a) Impeding Ticket.
My question is, is this worth fighting since I was there on to make sure my sister was okay?
It's my first traffic violation and the fee is $250.
