What is the name of your state? California
My husband is helping our next door neighbor replace his rear fence and add a gate so neighbor can park vehicles/boats, etc. in the rear of his property when he desires. Neighbor also has a very large motor home, but not enough space along his rear property line (due to those damned City trees!) to enter through the planned rear gate. We will also be replacing our shared fence at the same time.
My husband is thinking that we might move the shared fence about a foot or two over onto our property so that neighbor will have the room he needs to pull his MH in through the back. We have a very large lot and are not using this area for anything but grass.
Would we permanently lose our property by adverse possession somewhere down the line should we accommodate our neighbor?
