What is the name of your state? Arizona
I live in Southern Illinois, but my divorce proceedings and decree are from Arizona.
My X was offsetting my spousal support and tried to legtimize it by taking me to court to get these credits.
There were three hearings on these matters and my X was represented by his attorney. I represented myself in the Maricopa courts and won.
The Judge made his rulings in a minute entry. He said I was to give him an accounting of the arrearages. I gave him two accountings because I didn't know if I could get interest on these arrearages that range from the year 2000 to currant. So I gave him one without interest and one with a 10% interest included.
That was in July 2002 and I havent heard anything else! I have called the Judges clerk (who is super rude) and all I get is that it is on his desk. (This Judge is now in criminal courts, they rotate their Judges alot).
My question: Is there somthing I am suppose to do pretaining to a legal procedure concerning the minute entry?
I am not a lawyer (I only play one!) and I believe that this Judge is not just withholding finalizing this. I also know he cant be my attorney either, and if I am suppose to submit a order to him or something, I believe this would be the reason for this delay.
My X filed a motion for reconsideration, but he hasnt answered that either, which wouldnt have anything to do with his minute entry that has already been ruled on.
I am confused on what to do to get a judgement or order for my support and dont understand if the minute entry is the final ruling or order for this case.
Thanks!
