when I first started at the company in question they were placing me on salary and taking care of Medical insurance, and if needed time off was a benefit. though after working there awhile I noticed a riff through the company Sales verses Engineering, both parties wanted total control and I was stuck between each with far to many Boss's and no usual chain of command. again after sometime at work I found myself writing to the Sales Manager and asking if I could talk to him in confidence, he agreed, I spoke of how the other Boss (Engineering) was very irritating with his arrogance, and went on to discuss failings in the company and the attitudes of the employees. after a matter of weeks this individual whom I shared very confidential information with happened to explode on me, yelling and acting as if he was going to get violent. this happened on a Friday evening we we're alone. Monday however I went to the Engineering Boss and advised him of the explosion and he said he was going to look into it. but what resulted was when sales was called on his behavior he in turn disclosed the confidential information which I had said to sales. this put me in a very odd situation much like a whistle-blower as I was involved in the highest level of operations at the company, and as the result of the whistle blowing my work started to be criticized in an arbitrary manner, always the boss of Engineering calling my work error, though I want to mention that before the engineering boss labeled me a whistle-blower he privileged me to a bootleg copy of very expensive drafting and modeling software, he himself taking pride in the abilities of "cracking" these copyrighted programs, he went further telling me that he had been caught before and they had told him never to use bootlegged copies again, (they seemed very nice). well after the whistle-blowing and the criticism, I started being informed that the owner the highest Boss had noted some jobs I had done which were also in error, but after further investigation the error had been introduced after I had finished with the job, though I was still being held responsible, it was as if everyone concerned were pushing me to leave, in a time of economic disaster, but where you work, if you are singled out you can be made to voluntarily quit.
though after further consideration I start noticing other issues the bootleg copy actually 3 DVDs are all made from his terminal they all have his electronic signature as the originator. here is a criminal act of piracy being supported by the owner, encouraged by the I.T. man, as he knows of all the illegal software within the computers so we have conspiracy and they as my boss's used their elevated positions to harass, ridicule, and belittle my efforts. is it legal to harass a whistle-blower, is it legal to pirate software (Solid Works), is it ethical to conspire to not say anything as an I.T. worker. What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
