Asked to work harder because im a male

My employer told me in meetings that he expected more from me and I would have to work harder then the girls because I didnt have the "sex appeal" factor that the women brought to the table. He said I would have to work harder to be liked and recently a problem arose with a table complaining about me and a female server and I got fored for it. I feel like because he wanted to make an example and fire somebody he chose me because I was the guy? Is this something I should pursue?

The suspicion that you were fired because you're male is a LOT harder to prove than the fact that you were fired because a customer complained about you. I'd be willing to bet your ex-employer can come up with a lot of valid reasons for why you were fired, none of which involve your sex.

Oregon. I tried filing for unemployment but they said because ive only worked in Oregon since Aug 2016 that I am not eligible until Jan to apply for unemployment

What state did you work in before that? Apply in the other state, and be quick about it before the quarter changes on Jan 1 or you'll lose a whole quarter of wages for no good reason.
