What is the name of your state? CA
I came accross an article regarding regulation of attorney fees that states that attorney fees in California are primarily governed by the Business & Professions Code and by State Bar Rules of Professional Conduct.
There were several facts in the article that I have been able to trace to the Business and Profession Code; however, there were a couple of statements that I could not find.
The article stated that Clients are entitled to bills within 10 days of a request and as often as monthly, if desired. My question is, in what law or regulation can I find this provision and are those 10 business days or 10 calendar days?
It has been over 2 weeks since I requested a statement from my attorney, whom I no longer need, and I have not received a statement nor the return of my deposit.
Thanks for any help.
