My opponent is using legal aid. His attorney is handling his entire case for free. He put in his pleadings that he wants me to pay his legal fees.

Does anyone know how that would work? He isn't paying anything. So what's there for me to pay?

If he is awarded legal fees, it will be reasonable fees, not necessarily actual fees.

It means the legal aid organization will generate some income.
