What is the name of your state? New York

Hi,
I bought a 50% partnership in a business for $400,000.00. 8 weeks later the business went into default on a major loan and ultimately disolved.

The attorney who drew up the contract represented both the buyer and the seller. I had no reason to believe the contract was unfair and only now have I learned there should have been clauses to protect me.

I am currently in litigation against my former partner because I can prove fraud, but I am wondering if I have a case against the attorney who wrote the contract. I did have full knowledge that he represented both of us, but it was assumed that he was acting as an impartial scribe.

Any adivce you can offer would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you,
