Hey!

I'm an au pair in my 12 month extension period. My paperwork says under the 212(e) section: not subject to two year residency stay.

Does this mean I could technically apply to be an au pair again and apply for a new J1 visa, or does this simply mean I would be able to change visa but not be an au pair again.

I contacted a prospective agency to ask them if they understood the rules and could explain them to me. They responded with information about the 212(e) but didn't explain whether I could apply to be an au pair again.

Many thanks!
