Automotive show footage DVD sales

Hi everyone.
Sorry if this is in the wrong section but it was the closest I could find for this question.

If I go to an auto event like a car show that has a major sponsor, just for an example ill use Hot Rod magazine and I take footage of some cars doing burnouts and then advertise that footage on ebay for a small fee to those people that were at the event and would like the footage of their car, is that illegal?
What if I used a title on ebay such as "Footage from the HotRod event on the weekend" or something like that. Can they force me to take the add down because their name is in the add? Is there a way I can use the name of the event in my add without upsetting the owners lawfully?

I have taken the footage on my own cameras and there is no sound track apart from the cars themselves.

If someone wanted footage of their car from a sponsored show, logic would suggest they'd provide their own means of getting pictures.

You can't take pictures of Hot Rod magazine's show and resell them without obtaining Hot Rod's written permission. Hot Rod is footing the bills for their event, and you're trying to make money off their efforts.

Not unless you were granted permission with Hot Rod Magazines/promoters whom in return have agreements with the participants.
