What is the name of your state? AZ.

Hello All,
I was laid off from my work as a programmer a couple of weeks ago. But I'll find a work soon.
But in the meanwhile, someone suggested that I use AZ Unemployment Insurance - a scheme which pays you something like 200$ a week.

My question is, is it a good idea to use it? Will it hurt my credit history in anyway?

Thank in advance for any help.

Unemployment pays you an amount based on what your earnings have been over the past year. It has nothing to do with your credit and is there to provide a safety net to people who lose their jobs through no fault of their own. Filing is free and even if you don't get benefits, you lose nothing.
