What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? WI
I was completely honest w Walmart and their background policies, have felony poss of narcotics in 2011 n poss of methamphetamine in 2012, done n of probation n completely clean n bettering my life... GIS sent back a competitive background after 3 weeks so they have me start Woking... Letter comes in mail from GIS stating they can not offer employment so non competitive, I walked the letter into HR and now its been riding up the corporate ladder? Advice?

I'm past that point now, I have had some difficulties with backdrop checks lately, n I'm not trying to hide or bury my past... I'm always upfront w potential employers. I honestly need this job yo get some more like experience under my belt... I'm just sitting here waiting they still have me working my shifts... Can the actually terminate me for their mistakes?

And their reasoning would b?

'Cause they don't like you hair color? or the way you dress...or any reason at all.

And before you ask...Being an ex felon is NOT a protected class. ;)

I am sure one of the HR Experts will drop in and correct me if I am wrong. :)

They don't need a reason. In 49 out of 50 states, and sometimes in the 50th, they can fire you because the day of the week ends in Y. As long as they don't do it for a reason expressly prohibited by law, they're good to go.

Then I hope they succeed and you get your job back. But if they don't and you don't, nothing illegal will have transpired.
