Bankruptcy Ch 13 to Ch 7

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Calif.
In May of 2002, we filed Ch 7 (personal). It was discharged in August 2002.
In March of last year, 2009, we filed Ch 13. I lost my job a few months ago. Can we convert the Ch 13 to a Ch 7? If so, when? If not, how long before we can file a Ch 7?

It's 8 years between Chapter 7 filings. You can convert the 13 to a 7 sometime in May.
