Any recommendations for an affordable atty in Atlanta area?

Need to file chapter 7...

5 credit cards about 20K and exemption will be 2yr old house and one old car.

Any idea how much it costs to file and how long it takes?

Fees vary by area. If you're in Atlanta its going to cost you more than if you're in Augusta or Homer. Call around to BK attorneys in your area and go for 2 or 3 consultations, most offer free initial consults.

As for how long it takes.. from filing to discharge, w/o any problems generall takes 4-6 months. Before you file, it could take weeks to months - it all depends on how good your records are, how much you do up front before you go to a lawyer (all your financial records in order) and the workload at the lawyers office that will be preparing your paperwork.
