North Carolina. I adopted my grandchildren 10 yrs ago. Since then the relationship between my daughter ( biomom) and I has deteriorated . She’s had me and the children in court a few time on charges that weren’t true. Thankfully her attempts have been shot down by DSS and the court system. Even the children don’t want to see or talk to her. This last yr she’s not been allowed at my residence and communication is almost nonexistent. Now, she’s “sorry” and wants to move back home , which I can’t allow. She shows up at church and corners me in the parking lot , embarrasses the children. She even started showing up at school several times a week. The kids have asked her not to and she keeps coming. As a last resort I had a meeting with the principle at the private school they attend. He’s talked to her and told her not to come back on school grounds. That lasted for about a month. Well, she started showing up at the school again. When I reminded her that she wasn’t allowed to be there she said she didn’t care and as long as there wasn’t a restraining order barring her from the school she’d come whenever she wanted. The principle tried calling her and she refused to answer his calls. He’s informed me that if she comes again he will have to call the authorities. That embarrassment is the last thing I want. All I want is for her to stay away. Her visits upset the kids and she doesn’t seem to care . It’s all about what she wants. My question is, can a school ban a bio mom from school premises just by telling her not to come back or does it have to go through the count system? What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

You ADOPTED the children? Her parental rights were TERMINATED? As in, she is no longer their parent?

Why were the police not already called, if not by the school, but by you? Just curious...this is pretty clear, I think, that after the second time they can. I wish my state had specifics like that.

Yes, assuming that YOU are the legal parent, the school can call the police for her trespassing.

The police were called when she came back to my house after she was told not to. the police were called and she left. As far as the school goes, that the next step. I know her and she's going to cause a scene. I was hoping to shield the kids from that if possible.

You are a liar. Either in THIS post, or in the first post of this thread.

ASSuming that you are legit, do your mom a favor and show her how to research her own matters...and stop lying.
