whats the law on being served by suppenas, if the person being served hides out so he cant be served because he knows someone is trying to serve him. I s thier another way to serve them. like newspaper. or if i find his boss or someone who knows him can they serve him. Would that be legal.or does he actually have to be personally be served. w
what if hes not served by the time his son turns 18. Can the suppenas be given to them and would he be responable to act on it. or does he have to be served personally.

Service does not have to be in person.
Some states consider proper service via USPS regular mail sent to the persons last known address or the court docs taped to the door of his last known address and certifed as posted by the service processor. There is also service by publication via a distributed newspaper etc.

My response:

You must serve a subpoena (and I assume you don't mean "Summons") by personal service on the person, or through an agent for service of process if that person is also a corporation.

Please make sure of your terms, by clarifying whether it is, in fact, a Subpoena or a Summons that you are trying to serve.
