What is the name of your state? NY

Hello,

I want to get a copy of all my records and files from a doctor I'm going to. What would be the best method to get these without causing the doctor to be alarmed?

I'm concerned that when I ask for these, the Dr might not give certain files or alter them. Aside from robbing the dr.'s office, which I will not be doing. Please help with some advice. It would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
LT

You have started numerous posts; ask your medical question in the one you started on the subject.

Hello,

Maybe I'm doing something wrong, and you could take the time to explain but the question I asked here has nothing to do with the thread to the link you left.

This post was asking how can I go about getting my file....and that is it, my question had nothing to do with it being medical. This post does not ask anything about malpractice or the such....so why would you tell me to keep them together, what is your problem?

I only asked this question here because I thought people here would know best how to request documents and the such...the whole process of putting a case together made me think this would be the place to ask. And again, I never asked anyone about a possible malpractice case.

Oh and maybe one day I will have as many posts as you with my soooo many "numerous posts" Grow up!!!

The advice you are being given is simply to keep all of your "correspondence" in one thread. You can simply "reply" on the same thread that you've already started, and you should be able to get an answer. Every time a new "reply" is added, the thread gets pushed back to the top. So, someone will open it up, read it, and answer your question. It simply cuts down on the # of new threads started. And, your question will get answered just as quickly. There is no benefit to staring a new thread. Hope this helps!

Hello again,

This is what I mean about the types of people who should and should not help others...moburkes, was very nice and tried to help explain. He was not rude, he did not jump on the band wagon and pick on me.

moburkes...thank you for taking the time to explain. Maybe I dont understand how 'this' forum works but the only reason I posted in a different group was because the question was different. The link in that persons post was to a question I asked on malpractice, and I never asked in that post how I should go about getting my records.

Thanks again,
