What is the name of your state?TX

I am the cp of my 7 yr daughter. My ex wife has filed to have that changed. My atty stated that we would be requesting a court appointed GAL. My ex wife atty would not agree. She wanted to rec. one. Now the courts have appointed the one she rec. When I rcvd. a letter in the mail from the GAL is was a judgement awarded to her from the courts for $1500 to be paid to her. I have never met or spoken with the atty. I do not understand why. I ask for a GAL and agreeded to pay 100% of cost. This was filed with the courts. When I phoned this atty. she stated that she has not rcvd. any paperwork from my atty in regards to my daughter and that she was under the impression due to correspondence with my ex-wife and her atty (Since March I might add..She was not appointed until the end of May.) that my daughter lived with her and I was trying to fight for custody. And that it would take alot to prove I was fit. I've had her for 5-6 years. I believe this GAL already bias of this whole thing. She was very rude and short wanting to know why this and that. Am I mistaken it's this atty suppost to be for the minor child? Why has my ex and her atty communicating all this time with this atty? And is there anything I can do since she is court appointed? She has not even met with my daughter.

Just so i understand this correctly, you mean a law gueardian by GAL? i am curious as well to know about law guardians. I just got a letter today letting me know that one was appointed for my case, but i am not sure what exactly they do or what to expect, and if or not i should contact him.
Sounds like you need to ask for a change of venue and then a new law guardian. if another county hears your casse maybe it will be unbiased and work out a little better for you.
