What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
I have been black listed by the only full Casting Agency in Atlantic Canada. They cast actor roles and "Back ground " casting. The owner of this Casting Agency (Fxxxxxxxx, John Dxxxxxxx) is also an actor, competitor, which is a "Conflict of Interest." The Actor's unon, ACTRA ( Alliance of Canadian Cinema, Television and Radio Artists.) allows him to continue in this conflict of interest situation.
This John Dxxxxxxx told me that I would never get an audition through his casting company . And, even if I did get an audition, that the producers would never see the tape of my audition, because it would be thrown in the trash can. This gives him absolute control over every actor's career in the Atlantic Provinces. Since the Actor's union refuses to do anything about my complaint, I am seeking Legal redress against this Casting Agency and/or ACTRA.
What kind of attorney would I need to handle this kind of case? And, do I actually have a winnable case?
