boss harrasing me ?

Can anyone please answer me this? My doctor took off work 3 weeks ago due to a herniated disc,I dont know what caused it just that it kept getting worse and worse and I could no longer do my job due to the pain.Anyhow starting from day one of being off I have called in to inform my boss as of the status and how I'm doing ,but she continues to call me at least twice a week give me a hard time asking what my docs plan is and when I'm coming backNow hes sent them a letter that I would be off an indeffinate period of time,we tried an epidural injection last week to no avail then he went on vacation this week and wont be back till tues and I had told her that.My husband had taken me to the emrgency room on sat and they gave me a shot for pain,and today she called and asked why didn't they at least make an appt for me.But there is no sense in an appt when he has all the info sitting on his desk for when he returns,and he is to call me,as he had said that if the epidural didn't work surgery was next.She is really stressing me out on top of not feeling well and I've been told she shouldn't be calling me like that.Any info would be appreciated.

I need more information to be of assistance to you. First, did the herniated disc injury occur at work? Generally speaking, the employer has no right to continue to harass you at home over your injury. You are protected by various state and federal laws.
