What is the name of your state? Florida

My husband and I bought a car from a buy here pay here place in May 2005. We have been paying on it for 10 months now and we called to let them know our payment was going to be late. The secretary at the car lot told us that they sold our contract to a finance company. What I am wondering is if that is legal? Did the car lot have to have our signature to do that? Thank you.

My response:

Yes, it's legal, and no, they didn't.
