Need some help please.

Been serching the web for some info, but can't find what I need. Had a check returned twice and was under the impression that it could only be run through (or attempted to run through the bank) twice; then the check would be returned to me and I'd be contacted by a collection agency or by the business I wrote the check at however, the bank has processed the check now. I live in Oregon. Is this legal??

I WAS IN A SIMILAR SITUATION...(SC)...YES, THE BANK CAN ONLY ACCEPT YOUR PHYSICAL CHECK TWICE, BUT YOUR SIGNATURE ON THE CHECK GIVES THE COMPANY YOU WROTE THE CHECK TO RIGHTS AND ACCESS TO TRY TO "DEBIT" YOUR ACCOUNT ELECTRONICALLY IF NEED BE TO GET THE FUNDS OWED TO THEM....I KNOW THIS STINKS DOESN'T IT??? BUT BEST THING TO DO IS BALANCE YOUR CHECKBOOK CORRECTLY..NEXT TIME AND PAY YOUR BILLS...BEING CHARGED W/ A BAD CHECK IS A WHOLE ANOTHER ISSUE YOU DON'T WANT TO GET INTO.
