What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California
I was a production manager for a record company and I produced music for the companies artist. My contract has now expired and I have my own bmi publishing and writing. I have looked into my Bmi and discovered that the record company has published songs of mine without my knowledge or permission. Is that a breach of contract? Am i entitled to get my music publishing back? Does he have the right to do this since I was production manager of the company? I need to know what my rights are and if the record company can do that without your authorization? Thank you!!!
