I have a court order for child support... The amount is menial in comparison to what he makes, but the job he has doesn't take taxes out and he doesn't report his income, therefore, I have NO leg to stand on and no way to prove what he makes. The issue at hand is he remains in arrears, and only seems to pay his support when it is conveniant for him. How do I go about getting the court to enforce the order? Neither of us live in the county the order is from. Is there a way I can get the court to find out how much he makes and whether the amount he is ordered to pay should be raised.... He has purchased several "luxury" items in the past two years, but can't seem to pay the support that is ordered. Also, our court order states that the support is to be paid depending on where the child resides. I have full custody, but does this mean if she goes to stay with him for a week, I am supposed to pay him? Oh dear... when we got divorced, he got a "Dollar Store" version of divorce papers, and there are so many things that I question now.... the important thing is that my daughter is with me, in a loving and stable home, and doesn't do without, but we could certainly be doing a bit better if I could get him to pay his support, instead of buying another car, or a big screen TV...
