What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
New York City, Queens County

We hired this subcontractor in end of February, and they took forever to do anything at all. Looking at the buildings dept website it looks like they failed a few times and took very long to submit/reschedule.

They had to get inspection from electric and plumbing dept because they relocated the kitchen to another place, and did some new piping inside the house. ANyway, I just want to know what are we facing here? He passed the Gas inspection, he has some violation on electric. How many more inspections will there be? I keep thinking I will finally be able to live in my house but this keeps being postponed... last inspection his darn plumber was not there on time and missed the appointment.

Just wanted to share what was going on and if you knew anything about this type of issues, or had similar experience?

**A: thanks for sharing. Rest assured that I have clients with the same or similar issues and experiences.

What kind of pressure can I put on the plumber that the contractor used in order to push them to get inspection date from the buildings dept?

The company is claiming their master plumber is away (simply went on a vacation), they did not show up on the first inspection and left the inspector waiting.
Now they won't get another inspection date.. Can I sue them for not doing that? Aren't they obligated to get the date.

This is so frustrating.
