I told someone I was a member of this forum and would ask about her situation. She fried some bacon at home to make BLT's and when she bit into it she bit something hard that chipped her tooth. When she spit it out it hit the plate with a loud "clink". It is a very large metal hunk of a bullet. Weird, huh? And gross. I guess its lead. She wrote the company. They called. They want her to mail the packageing and the bullet chunk. (She saved both). But if she does she will have no proof. What should she do? What should she do about the whole matter.

A ceramic crucible could be built around the chip in her tooth. The lead bullet could be melted and drossed and pored into the mold. This is not as good of a job as a dentist would do but at least it is something.

She bought slab bacon, not sliced.

It is not lead.

What were your damages (in dollar figures)?

Make the company sign a receipt for the stuff.

I think you are right. She said "clink" and lead would "clunk".

If it is not lead then I would think it is not a bullet. Whatever it was is hard to imagine it being cooked in bacon and put in a sandwich without being seen. I think this lady is too old to realize she lost a filling.

One day a man was driving along a counrty road when he saw the most unusual thing, A THREE LEGGED PIG! .
Well he couldn't resist but stop and ask the farmer about the pig.

The farmer said, "Well, that's no regular pig, that a special pig!"
The man said, "I can see that he's special that's why I stopped."
The farmer said, "Well you see, one day I was out in the fields over yorn and fliped my tractor over in a ditch. Homer, that's the pig's name, saw this and came a runn'n as fast as you please and pulled me from under the tractor, pulled me to safety and went and got help. He sure'nuf did!"
The man questioned the farmer again, "But why does he have only three legs?"
The farmer responded, "Mister! You can't eat a pig like that all at once!"

ORMOND BEACH, Fla. - Was the pig a victim of a rural drive-by shooting?

That's one theory a Publix spokesman offered to explain how a bullet wound up in an Ormond Beach woman's pork loin.

Diane Johnson's son-in-law found the bullet in a pork loin casserole she served Tuesday to her family. She said there was no mistaking the projectile's distinct shape in the pork loin she bought at a local Publix grocery store.

All meat is scanned with a metal detector before reaching Publix shelves, said Dwaine Stevens, spokesman for the company's northeast Florida district.

It's not clear how the scanners missed the bullet -- or how the bullet got in the pork loin in the first place.

Stevens said someone may have fired into a herd of grazing livestock.

According to the Wisconsin Pork Association, professional slaughterhouses don't shoot animals, for employee safety and meat quality concerns.

Johnson, 74, said she was satisfied with a $10 dollar refund and another fresh pork loin from Publix.

She said she didn't plan to sue because no one got hurt.
