What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Ohio
I have found myself in the unfortunate position of having to declare Chapter 7 banckruptcy since I was forced to close my store last year.
I have around $75,000.00 in credit card debt and lease issues. The business is not solvent and I have only merchandise and fixtures left.
I am concerned that my credit cards issued for my business are going to be my personal responsibility and an attorney told me to do a credit report check on Annual credit report.com. She told me that if the business cards do not show up on my personal report I should be fine. They do not. Is she correct?
I have no outstanding loans, only the credit card debt and the lease. Please advise. I have to find a new attorney since my present one cannot take it on.What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

Only you know if you personally guaranteed the credit cards. If you did, you are responsible regardless if, they show on your credit report or not.
