I live in Ohio and recently had to close my business. The business was an LLC and closed owing some vendors. As a result I have recently been sued personally by one vendor. The business has no assets and I will probably will have to declare personal bankruptcy as I lost everything. I don't have much money to engage an attorney and I was wondering if there is anything I can do to respond to this law suit without the expense of an attorney?What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

If bk is in the cards, get moving. Just include the vendorand let your lawyer know about the lawsuit. A bk filing will stop it in it's tracks.
If a judgment is returned against you before you file, the judgment will be discharged in the bk but, you'll have another set of legal fees when you return to court to get the judgment vacated.
