What is the name of your state? NJ
I was told that when you buy a home they do title search on the buyer showing judgements, liens and collections. My question is I filed bankrupty was discharge/closed and if a collection show up on this title search that I didn't know about and it was not included in my bankruptcy petition papers does the bankruptcy make this collection void. I filed Chapter 7 no asset.

If you didn't report the debt, it is not discharged.

Am I missing something?

I've never heard of a TITLE search being done on a person. Only a deed.

**A: what? Cops do it all the time. It is obvious that the writer means a lien or judgement check.

If you don't search the person as well as the deed when you are searching a title then you haven't done your job.

**A: and if a cop searches a person that does a bad deed, will the cops have done his/her job?
