C and D letter...should I sign it?

What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? Colorado

I am preparing to fire off a cease and desist letter to a collection agency tomorrow - Certified Mail, Return Receipt Requested. I have read on various forums contradicting advice on whether or not to personally sign the letter or just print my name in ink at the bottom. Can someone give me a definitive, or at least reasonably well argued, advice on what to do here?

Thanks in advance!

Signatures are always something to be wary of, with today's technology they have a bad habit of jumping from document to document. That is why many places recommend that you not put your actual signature on there.

Be careful what C&D letter you send, if the debt isn't past the SOL and you send a total C&D then you leave them no recourse but to sue you, if it isn't past the SOL then you want to send a limited C&D so they can still contact you via mail. Only send a full C&D is you know it is past the SOL.
