A little confused on what is required. I will have 1 exempted employee and a few part time employees.

For part time, I know I have to provide them with sick paid. What about the exempted employee? The follow seems to say that exempted will be given sick paid.

For exempt employees, paid sick leave is calculated in the same manner the employer calculates wages for other forms of paid leave time (for example, vacation pay, paid-time off).

On a different note, the following statement just says employees so just double checking it doesnt matter if they are part/full time, exempted/nonexempt.

There is no legal requirement in California that an employer provide its employees with either paid or unpaid vacation time. However, if an employer does have an established policy, practice, or agreement to provide paid vacation, then certain restrictions are placed on the employer as to how it fulfills its obligation to provide vacation pay.

The first item you quoted clearly refers to sick leave. The second item clearly refers to vacation pay.
