can he turn me in?

What is the name of your state? WV. I live with my boyfriend, but own a home. I was set to move back to my home and signed up for food stamps. I was approved but also found out I have fibromyalgia, so I decided to stay with my boyfriend. A friend of ours needed a place, so I rented my home to him. I still got my food stamps. On September 30, our friend moved out without notice, leaving me with nearly $1,000 in utility bills. He finally called us apologizing for what he'd done, but feels he doesn't have to pay the utilities because they're in my name. I took a former tenant to small claims court for the same reason and won, so I'm not concerned about that. What I am concerned about is that he mentioned he felt I screwed him over because he knew he couldn't apply for food stamps because I had (at my address). If I have to take him to small claims, I fear he will turn me in for food stamp fraud. Can he do that? Please help!

Your better off making a self report, of course they likely will cut you off of stamps to cover the over payment . But its better to live with that and deal with it than it would be to get turned in. if your not able to afford to keep the house as a rental then perhaps its time to sell it.
