Can I Find the Status of an Appeal?

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Indiana

Our GAL filed an appeal for her fees that were awarded. In July I received a copy of a letter from the appeals court stating that she was missing papers in her appeal papers. It gave her 10 days to file those papers with the court or they would dismiss her appeal. I never received anything else. My old attorney's office is handling my part/responses to this appeal. My ex WANTS us to pay her the sum that she is asking me for. They tried to coerce me into paying her last June, and I would not enter into any agreement with her. I already know that the appeals court does not usually overturn rulings like the one our judge made in cases like this, so I am pretty confident that she will lose. How do I find out if the case is still pending or if it has been dismissed?

It is public record. call the appeals court and ask. Or call your attorney and ask.

My attorney is no help. She is never actually in her office. She is down to a staff of just a secretary and a woman who bills and schedules. They say that they don't know anything. Everything they get is copiedand mailed to me...

When I call the appeals court do I need the case number? Would it be the same as the number that we had in the County Court?

Thank You
