Hello all,
I live in Wisconsin and this is my situation.

I was terminated a few days ago. Here is the whole story. I began working at this new job last December. About four months ago I began to hear rumors that my coworkers were complaining about me and talking slander behind my back. A month ago I looked at my coworkers email account and saw the emails she sent to our supervisor about me being lazy among other things. I talked with my supervisor who said she would talk to them. I still kept getting harassed from my coworkers and one of them resigned as she was moving. A week after she resigned I sent her a letter from home using a envelope from work to her. I told her to burn and rot in hell in the letter. She went to the police to file and complaint and also filed a complaint at our work in the HR dept. The police called me and I lied to them at first but two days later called them and told the truth that I had written and sent the letter. I apologies and the police called my coworker and called me back and told me to never contact her again. I did not got any Disorderly Conduct citations. Well the HR Dept called me and i lied to them as well and two days later told them the truth. Two days later I received a called from my supervisor who said I was being terminated and no longer allowed on the premise. My questions are can my coworker file a complain on me through our work even though she already resigned and I wrote her a letter outside of work? Civil matter versus employment matter? I was never written up for anything during my time there so can they terminate me without ever giving me any written corrective action? I still have several hours of PTO do they owe me that money?

 Wow. I'd have fired you, too!

(Was that your first job? Did you know that you can buy envelopes at many stores?)

Of course you could sue your employer. All it takes is paying the filing fee and submitting the paperwork. Of course you have no valid cause of action so you would lose but yes, you can sue your employer.

Your employer, um, I mean former employer had every right to fire you. Your actions were just plain dumb. You're lucky the cops didn't taken the lies any further. I suggest you grow up and stop acting like a little whiny kid.

Btw: your former employer did not need a reason to fire you. Wisconsin is an employment at will state sonthey can fire you any time they choose to. They did have multiple reasons to fire you though.

can my coworker file a complain on me through our work even though she already resigned and I wrote her a letter outside of work? Yes. Why on earth would you think otherwise?

Civil matter versus employment matter?
An employment matter IS a civil matter.

I was never written up for anything during my time there so can they terminate me without ever giving me any written corrective action? Yes. Nothing in the law says you have to be given any kind of corrective action before you can be fired. Google, at-will employment.

I still have several hours of PTO do they owe me that money? That depends on the employer's policies.

You can sue in the sense that no law says you can't. But you'll lose.

How'd you get into your co-worker's email? Certainly without her consent, right? You're kind of a shady person, aren't you?

Burn first and then rot? That sounds difficult. Maybe if it was a brief burning it would leave something to rot.

LMAO! You remind me of this: The correct sequence is pillage, rape, then burn. My boyfriend always wants to correct people when they say it any other way. :D:D

We've always said "Rape, murder, pillage and burn. Eat babies!" But then, I am from the South.

Babies have a lot of gluten (whatever the heck that is) so I stay away from them. Haha. :D I eat the old people instead. Stringy but more nutritious.

I once saw some graffiti that said "Beat me! Rape me! Make me write bad cheques!" (As if having to write bad cheques was worse than being beaten or raped.) :D
