my mother wants my 2 sisters and my self to get together with her attorney and go over the terms of her will...the problem is, 1 of my sisters has 2 husbands. we all attended her 1st wedding but she later married #2 without anyone knowing. she claims that #2 doesn't count because they were married in mexico. i recently found out that she has divorced #1 and has married #3. i don't know what happened to #2. i would much rather have my mother around for many more years, but in the event of her passing, how can or could my sister's lifestyle affect my other sister and myself? also, do any of her husbands have any claim on my mother's estate?
i live in tennessee and the rest of them live in maryland.
thanks,
yp.

My response:

Somehow, with a story like this, it doesn't suprise me that you are from Tennessee and they are in Maryland (but still Tennesseeans at heart).

Anyway, you're on the wrong board with your question. Please post it on the Wills & Probate law board.

Thanks.
