What is the name of your state?va Jan. 2005 my son was tried and found guilty of distribution.He was ordered to jail until a presentence report was done,this was finished in feb.2005 he is still waiting for a sentence date.My question is this- Is there a law stating how long a person can be held in jail after a presentence report is finished? His lawyer said the docket is full maybe he will be sentenced last of May.
