I have an important question. I have just had a child a few weeks ago. Her father isn't in the picture anymore and wants nothing to do with her. His name isn't on her birth certificate. I need to know that if I were to meet someone else and that person want to adopt her would her biological dad have to sign over his rights? I am wondering this so that I can go ahead and get this done. Thanks

If he is aware of the child then yes you would need his signiture.. otherwise he can come back in a few years and contest the adoption and have it nulled.
