What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Nevada

Party A sends a demand letter to party B demanding a signed letter of apology for plagiarizing party A's work. If party B does not sign the letter, party A does not threaten a lawsuit, but instead intends to release a statement of fact (no defamation, no leading) presenting party B's published statements (all sources cited) and actions in the marketplace. (basically "these are the facts, draw your own conclusion")

Is this extortion? I don't see how it could be extortion if the information being released is already public. Please advise?
